SABBATICAL PERIODS FOR MISSIONARIES

The fraternity "Our Lady of the Nations" welcomes missionary friars for a "sabbatical period" – those who need a rest and spiritual and theological updating - missionaries who have worked in mission for a long time.

It offers several possibilities to them:

1. To share their missionary experience with the international fraternity in a fraternal atmosphere.

2. To attend continuation courses, especially at the International Institute of Catechetics and Pastoral Studies, "Lumen Vitae", which offers an intensive programme for 3 months (October-December) in French or English.

3. To perfect one's knowledge of any European language which is spoken in mission areas (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and German) by attending intensive courses in one of the language Institutes.

4. To update one's knowledge of mission in general and particularly Franciscan mission, by attending formation courses for new missionaries (from October to April).
