Responding to the wishes of a great number of the Friars of the Province and with their collaboration, the Franciscan Province of the Assumption of the B.V.M. in Herzegovina celebrated, after 28 years, the first part of the Provincial Chapter in Humac from the 28th to the 30th June. After a thorough examination of the Report of the Canonical Visitation carried out by the Vicar-General, Br. Stefano Ottenbreit and the Definitor General, Peter Schorr, the Definitory General decided to ask the Holy See about the possibility of the Province of Herzegovina returning to a progressive normality. The permission having been obtained the celebration of the first phase of the Chapter, with the elections and the presentation of fundamental relationships, was proceeded with. The Chapter has scheduled a second part for planning. The new Provincial Definitory is composed of:
