On this day when we celebrate the creative power of the Spirit of God, who through the "yes" of Mary generates new life, which is the beginning and only foundation of of our new life in the Spirit, I come to you to tell you of an important change of staff. From the 15th of April next, Easter Sunday, Br Herbert Schneider, with the obedience of the Minister General, will return to his Province of The Three Kings of Cologne. Br Enrique Gonzales Arango, of the Province of St Paul the Apostle in Colombia, expert in the accompaniment of the local Contemplative Franciscans, has been named as the new Delegate General "pro Monialibus" of the Order. I understand the feelings of all in expressing a cordial thanks to our Brother Herbert for the total and passionate service he has given since 1991 on behalf of all the contemplative Sister of the Franciscan Family through his many visits, words of exhortation and profound writings. His dedication and his competence have certainly helped us all to experience the unity of the charism of our founders and foundresses, permitting us to live with greater intensity our marvellous vocation. At the same time, I'm sure that our Brother Enrique will be able to experience your fraternal help in carrying out his delicate service along the lines that he himself will indicate to you. My thanks, and that of the whole Order, to you all for your discreet and precious presence alongside us.
