  • Commissione Internazionale Re Economica (CIRE)

    Many of you have heard of the Commissione Internazionale Re Economica (CIRE). According to their mandate, they meet twice a year: early in the year to examine the Year End statement for the year ending December 31st and a second time in the autumn to examine the proposed Budget. Their comments and observations are then taken into the Definitorium and form a very important part of the process which leads to the approval of these two instruments which help us carry out our administration here in the Economato Generale.

    The present CIRE is composed of five different members pictured here below.


    From left to right: Bro.Georg Scholles from the Province of the Three Kings in Germany, Bro. Alvaro Rosatelli (secretary) of St. James of the Marches, Italy, Bro. Herb Rempe of Sacred Heart, USA, Bro. Diego Tiphaine (president) of Assumption, Argentina, and Bro. Pedro Ruano of St. Gregory the Great, Castille-Madrid, Spain.

    The working sessions usually go on for a week and during those sessions, the members call in different people to help them in their deliberations. At this particular meeting (26-30 October 1999) the Economo Generale was assisting the members
