JAKARTA (INDONESIA) - I'm asking myself why is Indonesia becoming a damned hell these days. One masacre following the others: Banyiwangi (East Java), Tasikmalaya (West Java), East Kalimantan, Ambon, Tual, and now East Timor. This morning I recieved the so many times shocking horrible news: father Albrecht, a Jesuit working for as social worker in Dili is shot death; also a protestant minister. He is the second Jesuit priest shot death. We are still uncertain about five friars and other franciscan sisters working in the remote region south of East Timor. We have tried through all possible means to get information about them, but of no afail. No communication at all. He is the second Jesuit priest shot death. JAKARTA (INDONESIA) - Me pregunto a mi mismo porqué Indonesia se ha convertido estos días en un infierno abominable. Un masacre sigue a otros: Banyiwangi (Este de Java), Tasikmalaya (Oeste de Java),Kalimantan Este, Ambon, Tual y ahora Timor Este. Esta mañana he recibido varias noticias espantosas y horribles: al Padre Albrecht, jesuita, asistente social en Dili, le han matado; también a un Ministro Protestante. No tenemos noticias de los cinco Hermanos y otras Hermanas Franciscanas que trabajan en la remota región al sur de Timor Este. Hemos hecho lo posible para comunicarnos con ellos, pero ha sido imposible. Ninguna comunicación. Rogad por los difuntos y tened presentes en vuestras oraciones a los vivos para que tengan fuerzas espirituales y corporales… Rogad para que nuestro Gobierno abra sus ojos…. y acepte la ayuda de fuera.

JAKARTA (INDONESIA) - Mi sto chiedendo se l’Indonesia non si sia trasformata in un inferno. Sempre nuovi massacri: Banyiwangi (Giava est), Tasikmalaya (Giava ovest), Kalimantan, Ambon, Tual e adesso anche Timor est. Ogni mattina riceviamo una quantità di notizie orribili: padre Albrecht, un Gesuita che lavora come assistente sociale a Dili, è stato ucciso, così come un pastore protestante. È il secondo gesuita che viene ammazzato. Ancora non abbiamo notizie di cinque nostri Frati e di altre Suore francescane che lavoravano nell'estremo sud di Timor. Abbiamo tentato con tutti i mezzi di metterci in contatto con loro, ma non è stato possibile stabilire nessuna comunicazione. “Requiescant In Pace” per i morti e sostegno spirituale e materiale per quanti sono ancora in vita. Pregate perché il nostro governo apra gli occhi… e accetti aiuti dall’esterno…
