Today’s program continued as planned. In the morning there were conferences by our brothers Jose Rodriguez Carballo, who presented the new Ration Studiorum of the Order, and Br. Sileo, who spoke of the need to reread our patrimony in the light of current needs.
In the afternoon we heard Br. Romain Mailleux, Br. Alvaro Cacciotti, and Br. Frederic Manns. The first presented a report on the work done by the College of St. Bonaventure of Grottaferrata, the second presented a report on the School of Medieval and Franciscan Studies, and Frederic presented a report on the Franciscans and the study of Sacred Scripture.
After listening the various reports the participants divided into three groups according to languages: English, Spanish, and Italian. The work of the groups was that of elaborating concrete proposals to be considered by all the brothers of the Order, by the Universities and Study Centers.
A 7:30PM we have the eucharistic celebration, at which Br. Ernest Siekierka presided, and in which the community of Mondo X participated.
Supper was enlivened by singers and by actors of the Community of Mondo X. At the end of the evening two boats took the brothers to Trapani. The sea was agitated, but they all arrived safe and sound.

La giornata di oggi si è svolta come previsto. Nella mattinata hanno tenuto le loro conferenze i fratelli José Rodriguez Carballo, che ha presentato la nuova Ratio Studiorum dell’Ordine e Fr. Leonardo Sileo, che ha parlato della necessità di fare un rilettura del nostro patrimonio alla luce delle esigenze odierne.
Nel pomeriggio hanno parlato Fr. Romain Mailleux, Fr. Alvaro Cacciotti e Fr. Frédéric Manns. Il primo ha presentato una comunicazione sul lavoro che si sta facendo al Collegio di San Bonaventura di Grottaferrata, il secondo ha presentato un'altra comunicazione sul lavoro della Scuola medioevale francescana e Frédéric ha presentato una comunicazione sui francescani e lo studio della Sacra Scrittura.
Dopo avere ascoltato le comunicazioni, i congressisti si sono divisi in tre gruppi linguistici: inglese, spagnolo ed italiano. Il lavoro dei gruppi consisteva nell’elaborazione di proposte concrete da presentare a tutti i frati dell’Ordine, per le Università e per i Centri di Studio.
Alle 19.30 abbiamo celebrato l’Eucaristia presieduta da Fr. Ernest Siekierka, alla quale ha partecipato anche la comunità di Mondo X.
La cena è stata animata da cantori e da alcuni attori della Comunità di Mondo X. Al termine della serata le barche sono ripartite per Trapani cariche di frati. Visto la situazione del mare la situazione non era l’ottimale. Ma alla fine sono giunti tutti sani e salvi alla terra ferma.
"E tutto va bene!".

La jornada de hoy se desarrolló tal como estaba previsto. Por la mañana tuvieron sus conferencias los hermanos José Rodríguez Carballo, quien presentó la nueva Ratio Studiorum de la Orden y Fr. Sileo, que habló de la necesidad de hacer una relectura de nuestro patrimonio a la luz de las exigencias de hoy.
Por la tarde hablaron Fr. Romain Malleux, Fr. Alvaro Caccioti y Fr. Frédéric Manns. El primero presentó una comunicación sobre el trabajo que realizza el Collegio de S. Buenaventura de Grottaferrata,el segundo presentó otra comunicación sobre el trabajo de la Escuela Medieval Francescana y Frédéric presentó una comunicación sobre los franciscanos y el estudio de la Sagrada Escritura.
Después de escuchar las distintas comunicaciones, los congresistas se dividieron en tres grupos linguisticos :inglés, español e italiano. El trabajo de los grupos consistió en elaborar propuestas concretas para ser tenidas en cuenta por todos los hermanos de la Orden, por las Universidades y Centros de Estudios.
A las 19.30 tuvimos la celebración eucarística presidida por Fr. Ernest Siekierka. Participaron en ella la comunidad de Mondo X.
La Cena estivo animada por cantores y actores de la Comunidad de Mundo X. Al término de ésta dos barcas salieron con los hermanos hacia Trápani. Dada la "movida" del mar la situación no envidiable. En cualquier caso todos llegaron sanos y salvos.
"Y todo era bueno".
