May the Lord give you peace.
At the beginning of the Congress we saluted you and asked you to accompany us during the Congress with your prayers and following our web page. Through the messages of support and greeting we received we know that many of you have followed the Congress by the Internet. Thank you. We felt you close to us at all times and this helped us a lot.

Now I go on to tell you, briefly, what we did today. We voted on the proposals about formation to the spirit of prayer and devotion, Franciscan pedagogy and studies. All was conducted in a climate of dialogue and participation. We also approved a letter to all the Ministers Provincials and Custodes. By the time the letters arrive to you they will have been already on the web thanks to the services of John Abela and Br. Chryzostom Fryc. The first from malta and the second from the seat of the Congress have carried nout a very meritorious work. In the afternoon we had the official closure. First of all myself, as Secretary for formation and studies and responsible for the Congress thanked all who through their work helped to make the Congress a success. I then gave a brief message to the participants. Then, in the presence of the Minister General, we made the results of the evaluation known, we dialogued with the Minister and listened to his words of encouragement and hope. Having ended this act, which was emotional, we went to the Porziuncola to celebrate vespers, presided over by the Custos of the Sanctuary. In the final rite BR. Giacomo Bini, accompanied by Br. Ernest Siekierka and myself gave a copy of the Rule to the brothers. The act concluded with the singing of the Salve Sancte pater as we stood around the chapel of the Porziuncola. More than one was profoundly emotional. Even we formators get emotional at times.

Tomorrow, with the help of the Lord will celebrate the closing Eucharist of the Congress at 11 o’clock. Br. Giacomo Bini, Minister and servant of the Fraternity will preside.

Now that the Congress has ended I can tell you that they were days of grace for all. Yesterday we made an evaluation and the satisfaction was general, both for the content and for the climate that reigned among us. To the Lord, the giver of all good, we give our sincere thanks.

Carissimi fratelli, che il Signore vi dia pace.
All’inizio del Congresso vi salutavamo e vi chiedevamo di accompagnarci durante questo congresso con le vostre preghiere e seguendo la nostra pagina web. Dai messaggi che abbiamo ricevuto di condivisione e di saluto sappiamo che siete stati molti quelli che avete seguito il Congresso in internet. Grazie. Vi abbiamo sentiti molto vicini in ogni momento e questo ci ha aiutato molto.

Ora passo a raccontarvi brevemente quello che abbiamo fatto oggi. Abbiamo votato le proposte sopra la formazione per lo spirito di orazione e devozione, le proposte sulla pedagogia francescana e sopra gli studi. Tutto è trascorso in una ambiente di dialogo e di partecipazione. Abbiamo approvato anche una lettera a tutti i Ministri e Custodi. Sicuramente quando questa lettera vi arriverà sicuramente sarà già anche in rete grazie al servizio di John Abela e di fra Crisostomo Fryc. Il primo da Malta e il secondo dalla sede del Congresso hanno fatto un lavoro veramente meritorio. Nel pomeriggio abbiamo fatto la chiusura ufficiale: prima io che come Segretario di formazione e Studi e responsabile del Congresso. Ho ringraziato tutti coloro che con il loro lavoro ci hanno aiutato a far si che il Congresso riuscisse bene, dopo ho letto un breve messaggio ai partecipanti; secondo, con la presenza del Ministro Generale, abbiamo fatto conoscere i risultati della verifica del congresso, abbiamo dialogato con il Ministro e abbiamo ascoltato le sue parole di incoraggiamento e speranza. Finito questo momento, certamente molto emotivo, siamo andati in Porziuncola per celebrare i vespri presieduti questa volta da fra Vittorio Viola, custode del Santuario. Alla fine del rito fra Giacomo Bini accompagnato da fra Ernest Siekierka e un assistente ha donato la Regola a tutti i frati. L’atto si è concluso con il canto del "Salve Sancte Pater" cantato da tutti i frati che avevano "circondato" la Porziuncola. Molti erano profondamente emozionati. Anche noi formatori a volte ci emozioniamo.

Domani con l’aiuto del Signore alle 11 celebreremo l’Eucaristia di chiusura del Congresso presieduta da fra Giacomo Bini Ministro generale e Servo della Fraternità.

Ora il Congresso è finito posso dirvi che sono stati giorni di grazia per tutti. Ieri abbiamo fatto la verifica finale e la soddisfazione è stata generale sia per i contenuti che per l’ambiente che ha regnato tra di noi. Al Signore, datore di ogni bene, il nostro ringraziamento sincero.

Hermanos:Que el Señor os dé su Paz.

Al inicio del Congreso os saludaba y os pedía que nos acompañarais durante el Congreso con vuestras oraciones y siguiendo nuestra página web. Por los mensajes recibidos de apoyo y de saludo sabemos que han sido muchos los que habéis seguido el Congreso por internet. Gracias Os hemos sentido muy cercanos en todo momento y esto nos ha ayudado mucho.

Ahora paso a contaros, brevemente, lo que hicimos hoy. Hemos votado las propuestas sobre la formación para el espírito de oración y devoción, las propuestas sobre pedagogía franciscana y sobre< los estudios. Todo transcurrió en ambiente de diálogo y de participación. También aprobamos una carta de saludo a todos los Ministros y Custodios. Seguro que cuando estas letras lleguen a vosotros ya la carta estará en red, gracias a los servicios de John Abela y de Fr. Crisóstomo Fryc. El primero desde Malta y el segundo desde la sede del Congreso han desarrollado un trabajo muy meritorio. Por la tarde hicimos la clausura oficial. Primero yo, en cuanto Secretario de formación y estudios y responsable del Congreso agradecí a cuantos, con su trabajo, nos han ayudado a que el Congreso saliera bien. Después les di un breve mensaje a los participantes. Luego, con la presencia del Ministro general, dimos a conocer los resultados de la evaluación del Congreso, dialogamos con el Ministro y escuchamos sus palabras de aliento y esperanza. Terminado este acto, ciertamentre emotivo, fuimos a la Porciúncula para celebrar las vísperas presididas, esta vez, por Fr. Vittorio Viola, custodio del Santuario. Al final del rito, Fr. Giacomo Bini, acompañado por Fr. Ernest Siekierka y un servidor, entregó la Regla a los hermanos. El acto se concluyó con el canto del Salve Sancte Pater, rodeando todos la capillita de la Porciúncula. Más de uno estaba profundamente emocionado. También los formadores nos emocionamos a veces.

Mañana, con la ayuda del Señor, a las 11 celebraremos la Eucaristía de clausura del Cogreso, presidida por Fr. Giacomo Bini, Ministro y Siervo de la Fraternidad.

Ahora que el Congreso ha terminado puedo deciros que han sido días de gracia para todos. Ayer hacíamos la evaluación final y la satistacción es general, tanto por los contenidos como por el ambiente que reinó entre nosotros. Al Señor, dador de todo bien, nuestro agradecimiento sincero.

Queridos hermanos, desde la Porciúncula, cuna de nuestra Orden, os envío un fraternal abrazo y un saludo fraterno de Paz y Bien.
