Program of the Franciscan familylink

This program of the Franciscan family will take place from August 16 to 19, 2011, during the afternoon at the so-called “Franciscan Village.” The “Franciscan Village” will be “built” around the church of Saint Francis the Great in Madrid; its aim is to be a space for meeting and sharing, where young people can meet, get to know the Franciscan family better, and share their experiences through various activities. At the “Franciscan Village”, there will also be a designated area for the permanent installation of stands so that every movement, Order, Institute, or Congregation can provide different brochures (e.g. identity, activities, and different informative material). In addition to the program, the following three important moments are foreseen:

1. Meeting with the Ministers General – Wednesday, August 17 at 17:00 – 19:00
2. “Festival of Joy” – Wednesday, August 17, at 21:00-24:00
3. Franciscan Prayer – Thursday, August 18, at 22:00-23:00

These three moments cover the three main areas of our identity: formation, prayer, recreative leadership (animation). For questions or clarification about the program, you may send an e-mail to
