The OFM Commission on Liturgy

On June 25-29, 2012, Monday to Friday, the friars of the Liturgical Commission met at the General Curia whose members are: Fr. Julio Cesar Bunader, General Definitor, Fr. Ferdinando Campana (Italy- Coordinator), Fr. Francisco Martinez Fresneda (Spain), Fr. Stephen Malkiewicz (USA) and Fr. Alberto Bechkäuser (Brazil).

The Commission convened in order to accomplish the work entrusted to them by the General Definitory. They concentrated mainly on the liturgical texts, particularly on the FRANCISCAN MISSAL AND LECTIONARY which they hope to present for approval as soon as possible. The Liturgical Commission develops the following books: Franciscan Rituals, Guide for Franciscan Liturgical Celebrations, Franciscan Supplement to the Liturgy of the Hours and the Franciscan Martyrology (OFM).
