The Feast of the Pardon of Assisi and the Franciscan March 2012

On the 1st of August the Minister General, Br José Rodriguez Carballo, ofm inaugurated officially the Feast of the Pardon of Assisi at St Mary of the Angels with solemn celebration of the Eucharist, in which a good number of friars, religious and diocesan clergy concelebrated. During the Eucharist, numerous devoted pilgrims at Porziuncola who had come for the Feast of the Pardon of Assisi participated. On the 2nd day, after presiding the Eucharist at the Proto-monastery of the Poor Clare Sisters and after concelebration in the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels, in the afternoon, the Minister General received participants in the Franciscan March of 2012. Around 2.000 youth from all over Italy, Croatia, Austria and Switzerland took part. The theme of the Franciscan March and teaching was: “You are Beauty”.
