Filmmaker Gerry Straub (SFO) explores how film transforms people’s hearts and can be used to serve the poor. Through the San Damiano Foundation his films shed light on poverty and its crushing impact in both human and spiritual dimensions. Just before the earthquake that hit Haiti on January 12, 2010, Gerry visited and filmed one of Haiti’s slums.
