It is the duty of the General Secretariat for Formation and Studies, in dependence on the Minister General: 1. to moderate all formative activity in the Order; 2. to promote and coordinate formation and studies with suitable means and appropriate initiatives; (Cf. PCO 81, 74.) 3. to ensure the implementation of all that has been expressed and decided by the authorities of the Order with regard to formation and studies and to oversee their observance; (Cf. PCO 81, 89.) 4. to develop an ever-greater cooperation and dialogue between formators. (Cf. PCO 81, 89.)

Ongoing formation: “rekindle the gift of vocation”
A group of Brazilian friars, on the 25th anniversary of their religious life, are making an experience of lifelong learning on “rekindle the gift of a vocation.” This experience is coordinated by the Secretary General for Formation and Studies OFM and organized by the Service for Training and Studies (SERPE) of the Conference of Provincial Ministers of Brazil OFM (CFMB). North Salvic Conference – Workshops for Masters
In the friary of Bronowice of the Province of St. Mary of the Angels in Krakow, from April 8-13, 2013, like every year, there were workshops for Masters of the North Slavic Conference. Seventeen Masters gathered from the following Polish Provinces: Saint Francis (Poznan), Holy Mary of the Angels (Krakow), Immaculate Conception (Krakow), and the Assumption of the BVM (Katowice). There were present as well Masters from Provinces: Saint Michael the Archangel (Zhytomyr -Ukraine) and Most Holy Savior (Bratislava – Slovakia). (more…)

Lent 2013
We begin the Lenten journey towards Christ, our Passover. With the heart turned toward the Lord, we walk with the whole Christian community, bringing this world closer to the Kingdom of God, moved by faith, hope and charity. Benedict XVI, in his message, invites us this year to unite faith and charity in the only hope of this Lent of 2013 because “believing in charity prompts charity.” (more…)
