Chapter of Mats “under 10″ - info

Dear Brother,

The date of the Chapter of Mats is approaching and it is important now to keep open the lines of communication. This message is to give you some news and to remind you of some things which are urgent: The necessary documents for those who need a VISA to enter Israel.

We have reminded you of this before, if you need a VISA you must send us the following documents quickly:

Photocopy of your passport. It must still have at least 18 months until it expires
Two recent photographs
Names of your father and mother
If you have ever been inside Israel, you must declare it.
Your place of residence and where you wish them to send your VISA

We suggest that you send it by some type of “express mail” — e.g. UPS

In the General Curia we will collect the data and send it to the Custody of the Holy Land. Shortly after, you will receive a “letter of invitation” from the Custos of the Holy Land which you will present to the Embassy of Israel in your city or country when you ask for the VISA. Soon you will be receiving a synthesis of the answers to the questionnaire we sent you. With it , you will also find some new questions. These questions are for your reflection and discussion with other friars “Under-10” of your entity.

We remind you that you should be in Jerusalem on the 30th of June in the morning. After breakfast on that day we will be leaving for Nazareth where the Chapter will begin. Should you wish to arrive earlier you must advise us in plenty of time – or should you wish to stay some days after the Chapter is over. We will need to arrange accommodations for you. We suggest that you regularly consult the web-site of the Order for our Chapter (http://www.ofm.org/under10) because here we will begin publishing information and notices about the preparation for the Chapter.
