Executive Committee for the International Council for Evangelization (ICE)
Meeting in the General Curia - Rome - March 5-9, 2007

In agreement with the Actual Statutes of the International Council for Evangelization (art. 16-22), the ordinary meeting of the Executive Committee will take place in Rome at the General Curia on March 6-9, 2007. According to the same Statutes, the meeting will be presided by the General Secretary for Evangelization. The members of the committee are: Fr. Estêvão OTTENBREIT (COTAF, Germany), Fr. Juan MEDINA (Conf. Guadalupe, Mexico), Fr. Raphael SEGIETH (Africa, Burkina Faso Conf.), Fr. Nikola VUKOJA (Slavic Meridionalis, Croatia Conf.), Fr. Emilio ESCAYOLA (Conf. Cono Sur, Argentina), Fr. Marcel TSHIKEZ (Congo).

Monday March 5: Arrival
Tuesday March 6 to Friday March 9: Work

THEMES/ISSUES:

• Reflection: “The Grace of the Origins” (2007 and 2008/9) and the Document of the Extraordinary General Chapter “The Lord Speaks with us on the Road” – those inspirations/motivations/orientations related to our animation task.
• Analysis of the synthesis of the Annual Report from the Provincial Secretaries for Evangelization – 2006: Look at the different aspects (gaps, confusion on understanding the tasks and roles, difficulties…)
• The annual budget and the financial report of the GSEM.
• Revision of the conclusions of the CIE 2006: what has been done? What can be done?
• General Directives for the Pastoral Educative in the Order
• Subsidy for the parish Pastoral: What has been done and what are the plans for the next steps.
• Preparation of the next CIE Assembly: date, theme, motto, content-programming, place. Any proposals that can be considered already for the 2009 General Charter.
• Sharing about the programming planned for 2007-2008: mission animation, animation for general evangelization and in particular for pastoral education.
• Other issues.
