Faculty of Biblical Studies
and Archeology:
Thanksgiving Celebration
The recognition of the "Studium Biblicum Franciscanum" of Jerusalem as a Faculty of Biblical Studies and Archeology was celebrated in the General Curia in a climate of gratitude and fraternity, with the solemn celebration of Vespers and a fraternal agape, offered by the community "Mondo X" of Fr. Eligio Gelmini.
Together with the Minister, his Definitorium, and the Fraternity of the Curia were also present numerous confreres of the Pontifical Athenaeum Antonianum, with the Rector, Fr. Marco Nobile, the Custos of the Holy Land, Fr. Giovanni Battistelli, the Rector of the SBF of Jerusalem, Fr. Frederic Manns, various friars of the Holy Land and of the Collegio San Bonaventura in Grottaferrata.
Also participating in the joy of the Order on this occasion were: the Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education, Bp. Giuseppe Pittau SJ; the President of the Pontifical Council for Culture, Card. Paul Poupard; the Prefect of the Congregation for the Oriental Churches, Card. Ignace Daoud Moussa I, and the Apostolic Nunzio in Sudan, Bp. Marco Brogi OFM.
