Chapter of the Province of San Giacomo della Marca (Italy)

08 July 2026The Province of San Giacomo della Marca (Italy) outlined the guidelines for its future journey, bringing to completion the work of the 2026 Provincial Chapter, which took place at two different times.
The first assembly phase opened in Loreto at the "Terra dei Fioretti" House from the 13th to 17th April 2026. The session saw the installation of the reconfirmed Minister Provincial, Br. Simone Giampieri, and the Vicar, Br. Luciano Genga, followed by the election of the four new Provincial Definitors: Br. Ferdinando Campana, Br. Lorenzo Del Bene, Br. Rudy Fraticelli, and Br. Andrea Ricatti. During those days, the capitulars analysed the Instrumentum Laboris in depth, focusing on the great challenges facing the community.
The second session took place from 14th to 20th June 2026 at the "San Giuseppe" shelter in the Republic of San Marino. At the centre of the work were the pillars of the Franciscan mission: from evangelisation (with missions to the people and ad gentes) to the care of youth, university and family ministry, up to collaboration in the various areas of the Province.
The Chapter concluded with the approval of the Propositions and the final document, which will guide the Province's actions for the coming years.
