In the spirit of global Franciscan cooperation, FranciscanMissions from Waterford, USA, and Fondazione OFM Fraternitas from Rome, Italy, met with the Franziskaner Helfen team in Bonn, Germany, at the beginning of October 2025. The meeting focused on topics such as fundraising, projectwork and the implementation of aid projects, as well as an exchange on current emergency relief initiatives.
The meeting not only provided a valuable opportunity to learn from each other, share experiences and further strengthen the connection between the international Franciscan relief organisations, but also to exchange views on cultural differences and different approaches to project work. Through this intercultural dialogue, joint projects can be made even more effective and adapted to the specific needs of different regions.
Such encounters are an integral part of our cooperation and take place regularly as part of an annual exchange. They not only promote mutual understanding, but also cohesion among the international partners – supported by the common concern to help people in need and give them hope.
Franziskaner Helfen attaches great importance to further strengthen the existing cooperation with the international Franciscan relief organisations and launching new joint initiatives.
