Friar Giacomo Bini, was born in Ostra Vetere (Ancona, Italy) on 23rd August 1938 to Amalio and Teresa Tamfani. He entered the Order on 18th September 1956, made Temporary Profession on 19th September 1957 and Solemn Profession on 7th September 1963 in the Province of Picena of St. James of the Marches. He was ordained a priest on 14th March 1964. He fulfilled the responsibilities of Novice Master, Definitor, and Vicar Provincial in the Province of the Marches. In February of 1983, he left for the missions and was incardinated into the Vice Province of St. Francis of Africa and Madagascar where he was entrusted with the responsibility of Definitor and Vicar Provincial. For the last six years he has been Minister Provincial at Nairobi. He studied at the Institut Catholique in Paris for two years and received the title of Doctor in Religious Sciences at the University of Strasbourg in 1971, defending his Thesis entitled Sin and Penance in St. Basil of Cesarea. He speaks Italian, French, English and Kiswahili.
The Vicar General Friar Estevão Ottenbreit OFM
Friar Estevã Ottenbreit was born in Grosswallstadt (Germany) on 6th September
Hermann and Franziska Ottenbreit. In 1962, while still a student, he moved to Brazil where he
entered the Order of friars Minor on 19th December 1963. He made Temporary Profession on
20th December 1964 and Solemn Profession on 3rd October 1968 in the Immaculate Conception
Province in Brazil.
He was ordained a priest on 13th December 1969.
At this time he belongs to the Immaculate Conception
Province in Brazil.
He has been a parish priest, provincial Definitor, Vicar
Provincial, and Minister Provincial (twice).
During his time in office as Minister Provincial, in 1991, the
Immaculate Conception Province founded a mission in Angola.
