“The General Office for Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation (JPIC) at the Curia of the Friars Minor assists the Minister General and his Definitorium by animating and coordinating all that which has to do with Justice, Peace and the Integrity of Creation, in conformity with the General Constitutions, the General Statutes, and the decisions of General Chapters and Plenary Councils of the Order” (ppSS, Art. 1).

JPIC course at the Antonianum
The 7th edition of the OFM JPIC course was held from April 09 to 19 at the Antonianum. It was promoted by the Rome JPIC Office and the Chair for JPIC at the University. This year’s topic was “Believers and the Question of Sustainable Development”. As in all previous courses, it was based on one of the mandates from Chapter 2009; this year it was related to Environmental Justice. Morning sessions, as usual, were dedicated to the formation of our JPIC animators. (more…)

The Animation Committee JPIC
The Animation Committee (Executive Committee) for JPIC met at the General Curia in Rome from the 23rd to the 26th of November. Members of the Committee are Markus Fuhrmann (Germany), Ignacio Harding (Bolivia), Peter Aman (Indonesia), Ilidio Maluleque (Mozambique), Vicente Felipe (General Definitor and liaison with the General Definitorium), and Fabio L’amour and Joe Rozansky (friars assigned to the General Office for JPIC).
